The America’s Best “EDGE SUCCESS PROGRAM” is for younger students (and adults too!) who would like to go back to get the AMERICA’S BEST EDGE in school and in life! The program starts the week of September 27th (students may register and start the program anytime through the month of October), and each week students who register for the six week program will have tasks and to-do lists assigned to them by Kyoshi Baier. The primary goal is to give the participants life skills and success formulas that the students will be able to implement directly into their everyday lives.
The “EDGE SUCCESS PROGRAM” will cover the following life skills:
Week 1 – The “Vision Board” (Setting Goals & Dreams)
All students will make a board of their goals and dreams. The board will include
- Goal for at home
- Goal for at school
- Goal for the martial arts
- Goal for a Life Skill
Week 2 – The 7 Rules of Leadership for Children Week
Students will memorize all seven leadership rules over the course of the week, and be able to recite them to Kyoshi.
Week 3 – Motivational Quote Week
Students will make a collage of motivational quotes, the most creative being featured on the America’s Best website. The collage’s will be posted on the walls of the academy, and posted on Kyoshi’s blog.
Week 4 – The “Yes” Attitude Personal Growth Week
This week all students will read “The Yes Attitude,” and on Saturday, there will be a book review and open discussion.
Week 5 – Confidence Week
In addition to participants working on public speaking by leading drills, warming up classes, and speaking in front of people, students will be armed with tips & strategies to make studying and homework easier and more profitable. Participants will be equipped with the tools necessary to make this the best school year ever!
Week 6 – Evaluation Week
This is the last week of the program in which you along with your parent/ guardian complete a self- evaluation of your progress. After you complete it, we set up a time with the instructor to give his grade and to congratulate you on completing this six week course!
